ANY ADDITIONS?
Always! Here are some options to get your brain working.
- Add a splash of club soda for a fizzy kick.

- Add a drop or two of food coloring for a deeper hue.
- A dash of lemon juice for an added tart twist.

ANY SUBSTITUTIONS?

- Instead of blackberries, try blood orange or raspberries.
- If you’re out of triple sec, orange liqueur is a great substitute.
- Rim the glass with granulated sugar instead of salt for an extra sweet kick.
HOW TO STORE:
Refrigerator: If you happen to have leftover margaritas (a rare occurrence, I know), store them in a large pitcher covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freezer: You can freeze the margarita mixture in single cups, however, they may not freeze fully due to the alcohol. And, don’t add a splash of sparkling water just yet, add it just before serving.
When you’re ready to enjoy, let it thaw a bit, give it a good stir, and serve!
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
- For the best part of the drink, always use fresh lime juice. It makes a world of difference.
- If you don’t have a muddler, the back of a wooden spoon works just as well to mash those blackberries.
- When rimming your margarita glasses with salt, use a small plate to spread the salt evenly for easy dipping.
- For a Halloween twist, consider rimming the glasses with black salt.
- Rim with sugar instead for a sweet twist!
- Always taste your margarita mix before serving. Depending on the sweetness of your blackberries, you may need to adjust with a touch more agave nectar.
- If hosting a Halloween party, make a large batch ahead of time, and store in a punch bowl – less hassle and more fun!
The Sanderson Sisters Margarita is delicious and just plain fun! A bewitching blend that captures the essence of Halloween, it’s sure to be a hit at your Halloween parties.
