Do you know How to Make a Spritzer? It’s super easy and today we’re gonna talk about it. Ready?

Spritzer in a glass with garnishesPin

Imagine this: chilled rose wine swirling with bubbly sparkling water, dancing over ice in a large wine glass like it’s ready to party. A spritzer that’s almost too easy to throw together.

It’s light, crisp, and so tasty, you’ll want to sip on it all day. I don’t recommend that sort of thing, but hey, as long as it’s in responsible portions, right?

This classic white wine spritzer recipe is my go-to when I want something quick and fancy—like the time I threw a backyard picnic and pretended I was a pro bartender. Pretended being the important word there, haha!

It’s perfect for a hot summer day, a lazy afternoon with friends, or just when you’re tired of plain water and need a little sparkle in your life.

Jeremy and I love this stuff when it’s warm out. It’s just plain nice to lay on a lawn chair in the back yard, cold drink in hand. You know?

With simple ingredients, it’s ready in 2 minutes—quicker than you can say “where’s my fancy straw?”

Grab your bottle of wine, and let’s whip up this spritzer that’s so easy, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sipping it sooner!

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

  1. Fizzy and Fresh – The sparkling water adds bubbles that tickle your tongue. I think it’s way more exciting that a soda.
  2. Light and Lovely – Dry wine keeps it crisp and refreshing, not heavy—perfect for sipping without feeling like you ate a whole cake.
  3. Crazy Quick – You mix it in 2 minutes flat—no cooking, just pouring. You really can’t go wrong here.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR THE FULL RECIPE CARD):

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:

You don’t have to, but oh boy, it’s so much better if you do!

Chilled wine and sparkling water make it icy and refreshing—like a dip in a cool lake.

If you use room-temp stuff, it’s still okay, but it’s like drinking warm juice—not the vibe we’re going for here. Am I right?

Totally! Fresh strawberries are great, but any frozen fruit will work awesome—they keep your rosé wine spritzers cold and add a burst of flavor.

It’s like sneaky ice cubes that taste good.

You really can’t go wrong with a fun option like that.

Want to jazz up your rose wine spritzers and make it extra special?

Here are 10 tasty ideas to mix in or drop on top:

  • Lemon Slices – Toss in some lemon slices—tart and zesty, they brighten every sip!
  • Fresh Strawberries – Add these juicy gems—sweet and red, like little flavor bombs.
  • Lime Slices – Pop in a few—limey and fresh, they give it a zippy twist!.
  • Orange Slice – Plop one on the rim—bright and citrusy, it’s sunshine in your glass.
  • Lemon Juice – Splash a little in—adds a tangy kick that wakes up your taste buds.
  • Fresh Fruit – Mix in berries, peaches, or whatever you love—fruity goodness in every gulp!
  • Simple Syrup – Stir in a drizzle—for that extra burst of refreshing sweetness.
  • St. Germain – Add a splash of elderflower liqueur—fancy and floral, like a garden party!
  • Ginger Ale – Top with this— I love the bite that a good ginger ale brings.
  • Pinot Grigio – Mix in some dry white wine—crisp and cool for variety!

Mix it up with these swaps if you’re missing something or want a new twist:

  • Soda Water – Use this instead of sparkling water—same bubbly magic, different label.
  • Pinot Grigio – Swap for rose wine—light and crisp dry white wine vibes.
  • Lemon-Lime Soda – Sub for sparkling water—sweeter and zesty, like a soda pop twist.
  • Red Wine – Use this instead of rose—bold and rich for a deeper flavor.
  • Topo Chico – Replace sparkling water—fancy bubbles with a mineral kick.
  • Apple Cider – Mix this in place of wine—sweet and cozy for a fall feel!

Refrigerator:

Pour any leftovers into an airtight container and chill in the fridge for a day—it’s still good next time, but those bubbles might snooze a little.

Sip it fast to keep the fizz alive and kicking!

Freezer:

Don’t freeze it—it’s a drink, not an ice pop! The sparkling water will lose its sparkle, and that’s sadder than a popped balloon. Just whip up a fresh one when you’re thirsty—it’s too easy not to!

DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • Ice Overload – Pile that large wine glass with ice. If you’ve got some fancy spherical ice, go for it.
  • Chill Everything – Stick your bottle of wine and sparkling water in the fridge ahead—warm spritzers are a snooze fest!
  • Pour Like a Pro – Add the splash of club soda slow—don’t fizz it over like a shaken soda can!
  • Fruit Pick – Choose ripe fresh fruit—juicy slices make every sip burst with flavor!
  • Stir Gentle – Mix with a spoon—keep those bubbles happy, not flat like my attempt at juggling!
  • Glass Size – Go big with your glass—plenty of room for good options like extra ice and fruit!
