UGH, I wish I had a big plate of these right now! I hope you enjoy this one, it is super easy to make!

If you want to make them heart shaped like I did you just need a big cookie cutter and right before you want to flip the pancake, just remove the cutter. It will take a little getting used to, to get a perfect heart shape but just a stack of round pancakes will be just as impressive!

Recipe for the pancakes adapted from Betty Crocker.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups original Bisquick
  • 1 Tbls granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbls cocoa powder
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • red food coloring
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 7 oz marshmallow fluff

Instructions

  • First, make the cream cheese fluff by using a hand mixer on low speed and mixing together the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together first five ingredients. Add in food coloring to your desired red.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. If it is not a nonstick skillet, spray with cooking spray.
  • You can either use a heart shaped cookie cutter or just scoop out regular shaped pancakes. Pour slightly less than 1/4 Cup of batter onto skillet. When bubbles start forming on top of pancake and the edges are dry, flip over about 2-3 minutes. Continue cooking until the other side is a slight golden brown about another 2 minutes.
  • Place on plate until all pancakes are done. Serve with cream cheese fluff, enjoy!

I put the little garnish of heart shaped butter for extra cuteness but it’s optional of course.

  1. Oh these pancakes!! I love red velvet cupcakes but to make them into a pancake?! I know my family would love this as a Valentine morning breakast. My husband’s birthday happens to be on Valentine’s day too… SO it’s a win all around! Can’t wait to try this out! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Adorable! I always make my husband chocolate pancakes with whipped cream for his birthday, but he LOVES red velvet so I think I’ll be switching it to these this year. Pinning and stumbling. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
