HOW TO STORE:
Refrigerator: Store any leftover sandwiches in an airtight container. They’ll be good for up to 3 days.
I’m a fan of the air fryer to heat them up again!
Freezer: For a longer shelf life, wrap your sandwich in plastic wrap and freeze. It’ll be fresh for up to 3 months!
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Crispiness is Key: After cooking, place sandwiches on a wire rack over a cookie sheet. This prevents them from getting soggy.
- Melt Matters: Using a lid while cooking helps the cheese melt perfectly.
- Reheat Right: While microwaves are quick, using a pan or an air fryer will keep that golden brown crust intact.
- Variety is Fun: Mix and match bread types like Texas toast or Italian bread for unique textures and flavors.
- Layering Logic: A good rule of thumb is cheese, toppings, cheese! This ensures maximum meltiness.
- Dipping Delight: No pizza sauce? Tomato soup or even a dollop of ranch dressing makes for a great dipping partner.
The Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich is the ultimate comfort food, combining two popular recipes into one heavenly bite.
With layers of melted cheese, slices of pepperoni, and that buttery, golden brown crust, it’s a pizza sandwich you’ll want to make again and again. Happy cooking, and enjoy every cheesy bite!
