Welcome to This Silly Girl’s Kitchen (thissillygirlskitchen.com). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, content, and connected services (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Content

Our content. All recipes, photos, videos, articles, and other content on the Site are owned by This Silly Girl’s Kitchen or used with permission. You may share links to our recipes on social media, print or save recipes for personal use, and screenshot small portions for non-commercial sharing with attribution. Republishing our recipes, photos, or content in full on another website, in a cookbook, in print media, or in commercial materials without our written permission is prohibited.

Your content. When you post comments, ratings, reviews, or other content on the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content in connection with the Site and our marketing of the Site. You represent that your content is your own and does not infringe any third party’s rights.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Site for any illegal purpose
  • Post spam, harassing, defamatory, or hateful content
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest content without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or other users’ accounts
  • Reverse engineer or interfere with the Site’s functionality
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Republish our content without permission

4. Integrations and Third-Party Platforms

The Site uses automated content distribution to share our recipe content with our social media accounts on platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. Our automation, the “TSGK Content Engine,” only publishes content that is already publicly available on the Site, using OAuth permissions granted by the account owner. On TikTok specifically, the integration uses the user.info.basic, video.upload, and video.publish scopes to upload recipe Reels via the Content Posting API in Direct Post mode.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third-party platforms; please review their respective terms separately.

5. Advertising and Affiliate Links

The Site is supported by advertising through Raptive (CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive). Ads are clearly identified. We may receive compensation when readers purchase products through affiliate links on the Site; this does not affect our editorial decisions. See our Privacy Policy for advertising data practices.

6. Disclaimer

The Site is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. Recipes are tested in our kitchen and shared in good faith, but cooking results depend on many variables (ingredient brand, equipment, temperature, technique) that we cannot control. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any recipe or content for a particular purpose. You assume all risk associated with cooking and consuming food prepared from our recipes.

For nutrition, dietary, or food allergy concerns, consult a qualified medical or dietary professional. We are not licensed dietitians or nutritionists.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, This Silly Girl’s Kitchen, its owners, contractors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your access to or use of the Site or any recipe or content found on the Site. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

8. Binding Arbitration

By using the Site, you agree that any dispute or claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS, rather than in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this provision. You must commence any arbitration within one (1) year of the dispute arising.

You may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. Equitable relief for intellectual property disputes (trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, patents, trade secrets) may be sought in court.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of residence of the Site owner, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
