We absolutely love our air fryer and use it whenever we can, and this time around we used it for breakfast with these Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Bagels.
These have to be some of my favorite bagels ever. They are so full of flavor and they really take minimal effort to put together, not something you would think when you hear the word bagel.
With a little bit of sweetness and a pop of flavor from the cinnamon, these are not too overpowering but have the perfect balance of flavors.
These Air Fryer Bagels have become one of our go-to breakfasts. We just can’t get enough, although we make plenty of other flavors this one is my favorite.
It really saves me a trip to the grocery store and they make the perfect amount for our family! So I will just say that this is a great recipe for anyone who wants to make homemade rather than store-bought.
Some of my other favorite breakfast recipes we have on our site include: Pecan Sticky Buns, Ricotta Pancakes and Baked Chocolate Chip Donut Holes.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- With only a handful of ingredients, these come together quickly.
- With the use of the air fryer, they are faster than baking.
- You can make as many or as little as you’d like.

Self-rising flour
Raisins
Light brown sugar
Ground cinnamon
Fine sea salt
Greek yogurt
Vanilla extract
Egg
Water
Olive oil spray
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER CINNAMON RAISIN BAGELS:
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla.
- Stir it in to form a loose dough.
- Turn it out on a floured clean work surface and knead it until it forms a ball, the dough will be sticky, that’s okay.
- Divide the dough into four sections, roll them into balls.
- Working with one dough ball at a time, roll it into a log about 8-9 inches long.
- Pinch the ends together to form a circle, repeat with the remaining dough.
- In a small bowl whisk together the egg and water.
- Spray the basket of the air fryer with olive oil spray, or you can use a parchment paper insert. Lay the bagels into the air fryer, not touching, you will need to cook in batches.
- Brush the egg wash all over the tops of the bagels.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes until the bagels are golden brown on top.
WHY DO I NEED OLIVE OIL SPRAY?
This is the safest non-stick spray for your air fryer. It does not build up residue in it as your normal spray would, so this is usually what is recommended for air fryers.
You can also use a piece of parchment paper if you do not own any olive oil spray, this works just as well.
HOW LONG DO THESE TAKE TO COOK?
These Air Fryer Bagels only take about 10 minutes or less to cook up in the air fryer! You will know that they are done because the tops will be nice and brown.
WHAT CAN I TOP THESE WITH?
There are so many different things that you can top your Cinnamon Raisin Bagels with, it’s all a matter of personal preference.
We personally love topping ours with a slather of cream cheese, you can also use flavored cream cheese, butter, butter with cinnamon sugar, and an array of jellies and jams that would compliment the flavor of these.
HOW TO STORE:
These can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature where they will keep for up to 2-3 days. You can reheat these in the toaster, as we like them toasted.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Make sure you use self rising-flour for this recipe, or you can make your own self-rising flour.
- We like regular raisins, but this should also work with golden if you like them!
- We feel like the flavor is a great blend, but if you want more cinnamon, feel free to add more.
- These are great toasted.
- You can top these with various toppings, see above for some ideas.
- Use parchment paper if you do not have olive oil spray.
If you want a quick and easy breakfast that is homemade and you can utilize your air fryer, then these Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Bagels are just what you need.
