Fudge is iconic and one recipe that has long been a favorite and that I make every single year. This is the recipe I make every single year.

This is so easy, you really can’t go wrong with a minimal ingredient recipe that tastes absolutely amazing at the end. Easy and tasty are my two favorite words.

The extra chocolate drizzle really makes these an eye-catcher and wants you to grab them off that dessert tray immediately, at least that is what they do for me.

I have tried so many fudge recipes over the years but this Easy Chocolate Fudge has been one of my favorites and one that we keep coming back to.

Once you try this it will be one of those recipes that you keep on rotation. There are a lot of people who have various fudge recipes, but trust me on this one! So easy you’ll keep wanting to make it.

Super basic starter recipe with a little cuteness thrown in with the drizzle this is a great starter for those ones who are just starting to bake – or no bake in this recipe.

Some of my other favorite holiday recipes that we have on our site include: Christmas Tree Cookies, Reindeer Chow Muddy Buddies and Holiday Oreo Truffles.

Cut fudge drizzled with white chocolate on brown parchment paper.

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

  • With only 4 ingredients you can’t go wrong.
  • The drizzle is completely optional but super fun.
  • You can add some mix-ins and additional things to the top to set it off.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE BELOW):

Sweetened condensed milk
Chocolate chips
Vanilla extract
White chocolate melting wafers

Ingredients needed to make Easy Chocolate Fudge.

HOW TO MAKE EASY CHOCOLATE FUDGE:

  1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. This will make for easy removal of the set fudge. Set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl heat chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  3. Remove from the microwave. Let sit for 1 minute and then stir to combine. Stir until chips are completely melted and chocolate is smooth. If needed, put back in the microwave and heat for an additional 15 seconds or until melted.
  4. Add vanilla extract and combine.
  5. Pour fudge into the prepared pan and smooth out the top.
  6. Place the pan in the fridge for at least an hour to cool and set.
  7. Make sure the fudge has cooled completely before cutting into squares.
  8. Melt the white chocolate wafers per the directions on the back of the package. Place the melted white chocolate into a plastic baggie and snip the very tip off one of the corners. You want the hole to be very small or a lot of chocolate will come pouring out. Pipe zig-zag lines on top of the fudge squares. Allow the white chocolate to set before serving.

WHAT IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE TO USE?

You can use your favorite flavor of chocolate but we usually go with semi-sweet in our Easy Chocolate Fudge Recipe. It isn’t too sweet and balances out well.

We also like to go with higher quality chocolate for this recipe, it makes the chocolate melt better and easier and has better end results.

Like I said you can use any of your favorite flavors of chocolate so milk and dark will also work, it all depends on what flavor you’re going for, just make sure it is higher quality.

WHAT SIZE PAN IS THE BEST?

You will either want an 8×8 or 9×9-inch pan for this recipe, the size doesn’t matter it will just determine the thickness of the Fudge itself.

WHAT ARE WHITE CHOCOLATE MELTING WAFERS?

White chocolate can be fussy to melt and likes to seize up so melting wafers are the perfect melting chocolate as they do not hold their shape.

They melt very smoothly and firm up after they have set, so they are the go-to chocolate more for decorating.

HOW TO STORE:

This Easy Chocolate Fudge can be stored in an airtight container or ziptop bag where it will keep at room temperature for 1-2 weeks.

This can also be stored in the refrigerator where it will then keep for up to 2-3 weeks.

Want to freeze your fudge? You can do that too! Place cooled and cut fudge in a freezer container or freezer bag separated by parchment paper and it will keep for up to 2-3 months.

Let defrost on the countertop or in the refrigerator before eating.

TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • Make sure that you use high-quality chocolate for this recipe.
  • You can add mix-ins if you like such as nuts, candy pieces, cookie pieces, etc.
  • The white chocolate drizzle is optional but encouraged.
  • This can be frozen, see my tips above.
  • Easily double this recipe in a 9×13-inch pan.
  • Make sure that your fudge is fully set before cutting.
  • This is great as gift giving.
