If you love chocolate covered pretzels, cranberries, chocolate candies and more then this Christmas Trail Mix is just what you need!

PIN IT NOW SAVE FOR LATER!

This Winter Trail Mix is a perfect recipe for those that need to throw something together super quick but it still needs to be yummy and fun!

This Trail Mix would be so perfect for a school party, holiday gathering or just to have it around the house! Bag it up in little individual bags and you’re good to go when giving away!

I know normally you think trail mix, and healthy normally goes right along with that. Well, sorry but not this one!

I did make sure to get the normal “trail mix” ingredients in there like nuts and dried fruit but this is just so much for fun with the wintery bits!

Some of my other favorite holiday mixes and snacks include Reindeer Chow Muddy Buddies, Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzels and Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Pecans.

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

  • There is no cooking involved so it is easy to mix together.
  • You can adapt this to your favorite flavor as you like.
  • You can easily gift this by making more if you’d like.

HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS TRAIL MIX:

  • Throw all the ingredients in a large bowl
  • Mix it up until all combined.
  • Place in a container or bowl and enjoy!

I mean you really can’t get much easier than that? It s such an easy to mix up that we can’t get enough of it. We make it a few times at least during the holiday season.

WHAT DO YOU PUT IN TRAIL MIX?

I love to add a variety of nuts, chocolate, dried fruit and cereal (like chex mix!). It is a really versatile recipe that you can adapt any way that you like.

The sky is the limit though! Other tasty add ins could be candies or popcorn! Anything that you would consider holiday flavors would work perfectly!

IS TRAIL MIX GOOD FOR YOU?

It can be! But this version isn’t the most “healthy” if that is what you are wondering. This is more of a Christmas treat rather than a healthy snack.

HOW TO STORE:

The best way to store this Trail Mix Recipe is to store in an airtight container or ziptop bag and it should last for about 1 month.

Storing in the refrigerator will not make this last any longer, so leaving out at room temperature is best!

TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • You can use store bought muddy buddies for this OR you could make your own! Check out my easy Muddy Buddy recipe here!
  • Any holiday themed candies or nuts or otherwise would make a good addition to this recipe.
  • There is no need to store this cooled, it will be fine at room temp, see my tips above.
  • This is great to give as gifts, you can absolutely double this recipe and bag it up and give away, we do it every year!

Tools used to make this Christmas Trail Mix:

  • Fox Run 7327 Not Available Brands 2.75-Quart Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl
  • OXO Good Grips Wooden Corner Spoon & Scraper
