ANY SUBSTITUTIONS?
I’m all about changing things up.
Take notes on your recipe card so you remember what you like next time!
- Baby Spinach – Use this instead of spring mix—soft and green for an easy salad.
- White Balsamic Vinegar – Swap for poppy seed dressing—light and tangy!
- Feta – Sub for crumbled goat cheese—still creamy but a bit saltier.
- Dried Cranberries – Replace red grapes—sweet and chewy fun.
- Almonds – Use these instead of walnuts—crunchy and nutty.
- Romaine Lettuce – Swap for spring mix—crisp and classic salad greens!

HOW TO STORE:
Refrigerator:
Pop leftovers in an airtight container and chill in the fridge for a day—great for a quick next time snack!
Keep the dressing separate until you’re ready to eat, or the fresh greens might get soggy.
The last thing you want is soggy greens!
Freezer:
Feezing a salad is always a bad idea. Once thawed, this salad would look like limp, canned spinach. Gross. Zero stars. Do not recommend, haha!
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Mix Light – Toss the spring mix gentle—no squashing, keep it fluffy.
- Cheese Crumble – Break that goat cheese log with your fingers—messy but fun!
- Onion Thin – Slice the red onion super fine—big chunks are like onion boulders.
- Walnut Toast – Warm the walnuts in a dry skillet—crunchy magic in minutes.
- Dress Last – Add salad dressing right before eating—keeps your leafy greens crisp!
- Plate Pretty – Layer it nice—makes it look like a perfect side salad for the dinner table!

I always love finding new flavors.
