You read that title right, Fluffernutter Dip! HOLY CRAP. How did I not think of this one sooner?! We all know of that classic naughty sandwich right? Fluff and peanut butter, a match made in Heaven.

WELL, add some cream cheese to that equation and you get this knock your socks off peanut buttery goodness dip. Seriously… this is life changing.

I love the sandwich and always have since I was a kid, but I mean I love creating new things out of traditional things so how could I not turn this into a delicious dip!

This Fluffernutter Dip is perfect with whatever you want to dip with it, cookies, fruit, crackers, you name it and it’a amazing. It’s even great on toast!

Let’s just say that I’m slightly addicted to this recipe and we make it a little more often then not because it’s just that good, but honestly there is absolutely no shame.

Some of our other favorite dips we have include Caramel Apple Dip, Cookie Butter Dip and Blackberry Toasted Marshmallow Dip!

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:

  • With minimal ingredients this recipe comes together quickly.

WHAT IS A FLUFFERENUTTER SANDWICH?

Traditionally, a Fluffernutter Sandwich is just peanut butter and marshmallow fluff on white bread, that’s it! And, it’s oh so delicious!

We grew up on them as kids and it was like the best invention ever, and now the concept has blown up into multiple desserts including this one!

Where was fluffernutter invented?

According to Wikipedia, Fluffernutter was invented in Rhode Island during World War I. It is also the official state sandwich of Massachusetts!

Don’t you just love those little-known facts, you learn something new every day! That’s the fun thing in life, you never know what you might learn or where.

Today you got to learn about where the Fluffernutter originated from! So if you are ever on Jeopardy, just remember where you learned it from!

This is extremely similar to my Cranberry Fruit Dip, so feel free to serve this peanut butter version with more fruit as well, YUM!

This would be amazing as an after-school snack too. Instead of the usual peanut butter and apples or celery, give this a shot!

HOW TO STORE:

Since this contains cream cheese it needs to be refrigerated. We place ours in an airtight container where it should keep in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.

That’s if this Fluffernutter Dip lasts that long! I doubt it will, but if you do decide to make a double batch then you will know how to store it!

TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • You can use any brand of marshmallow creme or “fluff” as they are all the same just make sure you use the amount called for.
  • Switch it up with some chunky peanut butter for a different texture.
  • You can absolutely double this batch to serve larger crowds, it goes quick so we do this a lot!
  • Use whatever you like for dipping, we use cookies, crackers, fruit, etc.
  • This needs to be refrigerated after consumption.

Can’t wait to try this!!! Sounds really yummy! Have you ever tried Amish peanut butter spread (sometimes called church spread?) It’s made much the same as this (minus the cream cheese) but adds karo, and vanilla/almond extract! SO, SO GOOD!!!

Mine was a bit shiny and seems to have “broke” a bit. I put it in the fridge to stiffen it up before my party. :/

I have been making this for years and many variations. I serve it with a fruit tray. You don’t have to use peanut butter, you can do vanilla, lemon, flor de cel, almond, hazelnut spread, ookie butter ( crunching is good ) the possibilities are endless. The key is in the whipping. I use my Kitchen aid, start slow and work up to high. The more you whip it and the fluffier it gets, the better it tastes.
