When it comes to flavors, butterscotch has to be one of my favorites! This Cheesecake Dip is one of those easy recipes that I want to eat all the time.

This cheesecake dip recipe is a family favorite that is really quick and easy to make, so we like to make it whenever we can.

It’s a little different from your average dessert. The first time I made it, it was a huge hit, so I knew I’d be making it again.

Usually, we keep all the items on hand since we love butterscotch so much. It’s super easy to put together whenever that craving calls.

It’s seriously the easiest dessert to make. There aren’t many ingredients, and it comes together in a snap. I’ve even drizzled it over actual cheesecake!

I love any type of dip, but when you give me a dessert in dip form, I cannot resist! They are just so good.

Also, if you love quick and easy, delicious desserts, these dips usually don’t involve baking, and that is always a win in my book. You need to try this Cheesecake Dip ASAP!

  3. Butterscotch flavored cookies
  4. Vanilla flavored cookies

Lots of stuff works, and it’s also great when you have multiple options.

If you are not a fan of pecans, you absolutely do not need to top this with them.

You can top with chopped walnuts as well, or leave the nuts completely out.

You could always add some chocolate in there and top it with some mini chocolate chips, too.

There are a bunch of simple ingredients to choose from here.

  • Mini chocolate chips: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for a fun twist and extra sweetness.
  • Caramel ice cream topping: Drizzle caramel ice cream topping over the dip for a rich and creamy flavor.
  • Toffee bits: Add toffee bits for a crunchy texture and delicious butterscotch flavor.
  • Crushed graham crackers: Sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top for a cheesecake-like experience.
  • Fresh strawberries: Serve with fresh strawberries for a burst of fruity flavor that pairs perfectly with the creamy dip.
  • Apple slices: Use apple slices as dippers for a refreshing and healthy option.
  • Vanilla wafers: Vanilla wafers are a classic choice that complements the dip’s creamy texture.
  • Cinnamon sugar: Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon sugar on top for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Chocolate syrup: Drizzle chocolate syrup for chocolate lovers and an indulgent touch.
  • Shredded coconut: Add shredded coconut for a tropical twist and a bit of extra texture.
  • Peanut butter: Add a swirl of peanut butter for a different flavor and a touch of protein.

Any cheesecake lover will go ga-ga over this dip.

It’s a sweet treat that’s great for holiday gatherings and cozy nights in.

  • Greek yogurt: Substitute half of the cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter version while maintaining the creamy texture.
  • Almond extract: Use almond extract instead of vanilla for a different flavor profile.
  • Coconut cream: Replace the Cool Whip with coconut cream for a dairy-free alternative with a creamy texture.
  • Cashew nuts: Substitute pecans with chopped cashew nuts for a different nutty flavor.
  • Light cream cheese: Use light cream cheese to reduce the calorie content without sacrificing the creamy texture.
  • Maple syrup: Drizzle maple syrup instead of butterscotch for a unique flavor twist.
  • Walnuts: Replace pecans with walnuts for a slightly different nutty taste and texture.
  • Whipped topping: Use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip for a more natural option.

This crowd pleaser can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator where it will keep for up to 3 days, we do not recommend freezing this.

DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • You can use any fat cream cheese for this recipe.
  • Make sure that your cream cheese is softened so that no clumps will be in your dip.
  • We like to use cool whip as it is more stabilized, but you can make your own stabilized whipped cream to use if you like.
  • Use any of your favorite dippers for this recipe.
  • This party snack can be made ahead of time, see my tips above.
  • The pecans are optional, you can use walnuts, no nuts, or even mini chocolate chips.
