FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
HOW CAN I DECORATE THESE?
There are so many fun ways to decorate your Rolo Pretzel Treats!
You can drizzle melted chocolate or white chocolate over the top for a fancy touch.
Adding colorful sprinkles or pecan halves can make them festive for the holiday season or birthday parties.
Feel free to get creative and make them as simple or as decorative as you like!
CAN I USE A DIFFERENT PRETZEL?
Absolutely!
If you can’t find square pretzels, you can use mini pretzels, lattice pretzels, or even pretzel twists.
Any small, crunchy pretzel will work. Using different shapes can add a fun twist to your treats.
I would not use pretzel sticks, however.

ANY ADDITIONS?
Well, it won’t be 2 ingredients anymore, but I guess we can make some exceptions, haha! Let’s do this!
- Pecan Halves: Place a pecan half on top of each Rolo before it cools for a Rolo Pretzel Turtle.
- M&M’s: Press a colorful M&M candy on top for a pop of color.
- Sprinkles: Add festive sprinkles for holidays like Valentine’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day.
- Sea Salt: Sprinkle a tiny bit of sea salt for an extra salty treat.
- Crushed Candy Canes: Perfect for Christmas, add crushed candy canes on top.
- Marshmallows: Place a mini marshmallow on top for a s’mores twist.
- Drizzle of White Chocolate: Use melted white chocolate to drizzle over the top.
- Toasted Coconut: Sprinkle toasted coconut flakes before the chocolate hardens.
- Chopped Nuts: Add chopped almonds or peanuts for extra crunch.
- Edible Glitter: For a fun treat, sprinkle edible glitter over the top.
ANY SUBSTITUTIONS?
Experiment and make this thing your own.
I’m always telling people that they should try new things!
- Different Candy: Use Hershey’s Kisses or Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups instead of Rolos.
- Gluten-Free Pretzels: If you have celiac disease or are gluten-sensitive, use gluten-free pretzels.
- Dark Chocolate Rolos: Substitute regular Rolos with dark chocolate ones for a richer flavor.
- Caramel Squares: Use caramel candies and top with a chocolate candy.
- Vegan Chocolate: Use vegan chocolate candies for a dairy-free option.

HOW TO STORE:
Refrigerator: Place your Rolo Pretzel Treats in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator.
They will keep well for up to 2 weeks.
This is especially helpful if you live in a warm climate where the chocolate might melt.
Freezer: These treats freeze beautifully!
Put them in a freezer-safe container, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
You can freeze them for up to 3 months.
Just let them come to room temperature before serving.
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Watch the Oven Time: Bake the pretzels and Rolos for just 3-5 minutes. The Rolos should appear glossy but not fully melted.
- Quick Assembly: Have your additional pretzels or toppings ready to go as you need to work quickly before the chocolate sets.
- Line Your Pan: Use parchment paper on your sheet pan for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Uniform Pretzels: Use similar-sized pretzels for even cooking and a better appearance.
- Cool Completely: Let the treats cool or place them in the fridge so the chocolate and caramel set properly.
- Get Creative: Don’t be afraid to try different toppings or decorations. It’s a great activity for kids and adds a personal touch.

These two-ingredient Rolo Pretzel Treats are a fun treat that’s perfect for any occasion.
Whether you’re making this Rolo Pretzel Recipe for a holiday gift, a cookie exchange, or just because, these sweet and salty pretzels are always a hit.
