I’m a huge Chick-fil-A fan, it is probably one of our most visited places when we are looking for something quick and easy instead of having to make dinner. And my favorite is the Chick fil A Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

HERE IS WHAT OUR READERS ARE SAYING:

“Made this tonight. My boyfriend actually liked it more than chick fil an and I think I agree because you can customize the type of bread and toppings more. We used regular hamburger buns because it’s what we had on hand and it was sooo good. Definitely a keeper.” – Heather V

But I also hate always spending my time going to the restaurant and spending extra money on every time, so why not make our favorites at home?

This Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Club has always been my go-to, and it is seriously delicious. It packs so much flavor in one sandwich that you will not be able to get enough.

From all the toppings, the grilled boneless chicken breast, to the marinade and the sauce, everything just works so well together, and dare I say that it is better than the original?

Write this one down in your food diary. It’s a grilled chicken sandwich recipe for the ages!

If you want to save time and money, but still get your favorite menu item, then I highly suggest making our Chick fil A Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

  2. In a large bowl whisk together the pickle juice, milk, powdered sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and paprika.
  3. Add the chicken to the marinade and coat the chicken. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:

Absolutely, the only difference between this recipe and the classic is the cheese and bacon.

So all you will have to do is leave off those two and you’ll have that sandwich.

While the choices at the actual restaurant are pepper jack and colby jack, if you are not a fan of them, you can use any of your favorite cheeses.

Some other options include: cheddar, monterey jack, provolone, gouda, etc. Just go with what your favorite cheese is, it will go great with the flavors.

While this copycat recipe is as close to the original as possible, we understand that people really like to customize their sandwiches.

Some things that you can do is swap out your toppings, not a fan of lettuce or tomato you can leave them off or just add what you’d like.

The bacon that we like to use is thick-cut applewood smoked bacon, you can use any bacon that you have on hand.

The sauce is really important to this sandwich as it is our favorite sauce that they have, and goes on this sandwich at the restaurant.

But feel free to use any of your favorite sauces to top this with, or leave the sauce off altogether.

This copycat chick-fil-a sandwich brings your daily value in flavor! Feel free to change things up.

  • Add slices of creamy avocado to introduce healthy fats that fit into your daily diet.
  • Spoon on some pickled red onions for a pop of tangy flavor that wakes up your taste buds.
  • Crumble crisp turkey bacon bits on top for a crunchy, savory boost that reminds you of that juicy backyard-grilled taste you get from a great grilled chicken club sandwich.
  • Add a layer of spicy jalapeños to take the flavor to the next level.
  • Spread a thin layer of Greek yogurt-based sauce instead of regular mayo for a light, tangy twist.
  • Top with crumbled feta cheese or goat cheese to add a tangy contrast.
  • Use a drizzle of balsamic glaze to give a sweet and rich finish that pairs wonderfully with the chicken and your special blend of seasonings.

No fast food restaurants needed. Your classic chick-fil-a sandwich gets made right at home.

  • Swap the toasted multigrain bun with a gluten-free bun to support low-carb health goals or if you’re on a keto diet recipes path.
  • Substitute the cheese with a lower-fat cheese or even a dairy-free cheese slice if you want healthier options.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of mayo in the sauce to cut down on g fat and total carbs.
  • Try a sugar-free barbecue sauce instead of the sweet bbq sauce to reduce sugar and still make your taste buds happy.
  • Instead of butter, use olive oil or coconut oil to alter the flavor profile and possibly fit better into your meal plan.

This can be stored unassembled in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to 3 days. Store everything in separate airtight containers.

The chicken can also be frozen, place in a freezer container and it will keep for up to 3 months.

To reheat place in the microwave or oven just until heated through, if any longer, you run the chance of it drying out.

I don’t usually do reviews. The only way is if it’s extremely pleased or greatly disappointed. Some people eat to live. I live to eat! This hit the nail on the head. My family loves Chick Fil A and as I’ve been watching what I eat, I order grilled chicken. It’s really good grilled chicken with a unique flavor profile. This recipe duplicates that flavor profile that I could never break down the itemized ingredients. Thank you very much and highly recommend! 5 stars!
