Ready to make a delicious burger in the Air Fryer? Our easy Air Fryer Bubba Burgers are ready in about 15 minutes!
Air frying is such an awesome cooking process, what did we do before them?! These Air Fryer Bubba Burgers are just another easy recipe you can enjoy using this appliance.
I absolutely love my air fryer, if you couldn’t tell. From bagels to chicken tenders and a juicy burger, the possibilities are just endless.
Sometimes you really get the best results from using the air fryer. I mean, you can stick a frozen hamburger patty in there, in 15 minutes or less and BAM: perfect burgers.
We love using bubba burgers for convenience. We normally use the USDA choice chuck beef burgers version, but we have also used their turkey burgers, and both come out fantastic.
I love making them for Lily, especially, since she can have her favorite treat whenever she wants. We always keep a box in the freezer.
I believe air fryer hamburgers have extra flavor because the cooking method actually chars the outside of the burger. This is similar to a hot grill charring the outside.
Add a slice of cheese as we do, and have yourself a cheeseburger! You just can’t go wrong with Air Fryer Bubba Burgers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
DO I HAVE TO ADD SEASONINGS?
No, you can leave the hamburger patties just as they are out of the box.
In this case, you will skip steps 2 and 3 in the recipe.
I only use the olive oil spray so the seasonings will stick to the frozen beef patties. If you are skipping the seasoning, you do not need the spray. The burgers have enough fat in them, they will not stick to the basket.
WHAT OTHER SEASONINGS CAN I USE?
You can use a variety of seasonings, I like to use seasoned salt because it is just a good, all-purpose staple seasoning. But, some other options include:
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Montreal steak seasoning
- BBQ seasoning
- Cajun or creole seasoning
- Blackening seasoning
If you are using a seasoning without salt, I suggest adding salt as well.
WHAT KIND OF CHEESE SHOULD I USE?
I love a good old slice of American cheese on our air fryer burgers, but use whatever you prefer! Some other good melting cheese to use:
- Cheddar
- Mozzarella
- Swiss
- Monterey Jack
- Colby Jack
- Pepper Jack
You can even totally skip the cheese slice on top of the burger if you prefer.
WHAT TO SERVE WITH AIR FRYER BUBBA BURGERS?
I normally serve simple sides or summer staple side dishes with ours. Here are some suggestions:
- Potato Chips
- French Fries
- Potato Salad
- Onion Rings
- Pasta Salad
- Corn and Tomato Salad
- Tater Tots
- Sweet Potato Fries
- Grilled Mexican Street Corn
WHY DO I HAVE TO USE OLIVE OIL SPRAY?
You don’t HAVE to use olive oil spray. I just always recommend it because, from experience, this is the only oil that does not leave residue behind after cleaning.
You can use any cooking spray you like, but then you may have a harder clean up and lasting stains.
A clean air fryer is a beautiful thing, so it is best when you can take the steps to keep it that way!
This is the air fryer I use and love:
HOW TO STORE:
Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the microwave until warm. Reheating in the air fryer may dry them out too much.
Freeze for up to 3 months.
Place leftovers in the freezer in a freezer-safe container. To thaw, place the dish in the fridge overnight.
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
