FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:

For the best results, you’ll want to use brioche bread or thick slices of stale bread such as French loaf or challah.

These are great because they have a sturdy structure that can soak up the rich egg mixture without becoming too soggy or falling apart.

I really like brioche because it’s slightly sweet and buttery, which complements the flavors of the tiramisu french toast perfectly.

Stale bread works well because it absorbs the mixture more effectively than fresh bread. Tricks of the trade, people!!

Mascarpone is a rich, creamy Italian cheese that’s a key ingredient in traditional tiramisu.

It’s similar to cream cheese but has a smoother, silkier texture and a milder flavor.

It has a high fat content, which gives it a luxurious mouthfeel and a slightly sweet taste.

Trust me, using mascarpone takes this French toast to a whole new level of deliciousness!

  • Dusting of Cocoa Powder: Finish with a light sprinkle for presentation.
