We’re going to cook these air fryer mushrooms to perfection. They’re crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and loaded with flavor from simple ingredients like garlic and Italian seasoning.

Plus, they’re super easy to make in your handy air fryer. It’s mushroom magic! My husband, Jeremy, is a mushroom lover but is picky about them. They must be fresh mushrooms, and they can’t be overcooked! I’ve found that this is the best way to cook them.

I think it’s great that I can use such basic ingredients and make a side dish (or main dish, for that matter) for Jeremy that he loves so much! It really is one of my favorite things.

Not only does air frying give mushrooms a unique, crispy texture, but it’s also a healthy cooking method. Unlike traditional frying, the air fryer requires minimal oil to get that perfect golden brown finish.

Pay attention to the mushroom size when choosing which ones to cook. It’s important that they’re all about the same. This will ensure that you get a good, even cook on all your mushrooms. A little olive oil and basic spices and you’re on your way to mushroom heaven!

HOW TO STORE:

Refrigerator: Store leftover mushrooms in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days.

Freezer: While mushrooms can technically be frozen, they may lose some of their texture. It’s best to enjoy them fresh!

DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • Choose mushrooms that are firm and free from blemishes for the best results.
  • Make sure to clean mushrooms well with a damp paper towel before cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. Spread the mushrooms out in a single layer for even cooking.
  • Give your mushrooms a good toss halfway through cooking to ensure they’re evenly cooked and crispy.
  • Experiment with different seasonings to find your favorite combination.
  • Serve them hot or warm for the best flavor and texture.
