A super easy and super tasty appetizer, these Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls are stuffed with cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and more!
It is appetizer season, and it is my favorite time of year. Well, I mean, you can never go wrong with a good appetizer but with the holidays and football, you couldn’t have a more perfect time.
Okay, you know me, I will happily have a huge platter of appetizers any night of the week just to mix up dinner time.
So, I really don’t need an excuse to deliver you this perfectly wrapped package of bacon-y goodness. But the holidays are a time that screams, “make tiny little cute appetizers and treats!”
These Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls are super easy to whip up on short notice, and they always go well at parties, especially for those who are lovers of a little heat.
But with the contrast of the cream cheese, bacon, and shredded cheese, these can really be toned down so that everyone can enjoy them.
The perfect hand-held treat, you really don’t want to pass up the opportunity to make these Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls for your next party or gathering.

HOW TO MAKE JALAPEÑO POPPER CRESCENT ROLLS:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line sheet trays with parchment paper, set aside.
- Place the bacon, cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeno, and scallion in a large bowl. With an electric hand mixer, whip until combined, set aside.
- Using one crescent dough at a time, unroll the dough and separate it into triangles. Cut the triangles in half, so they form two long triangles.
- Place 1 & ½ teaspoons of the filling onto the bottom, wider part of the roll.
- Roll the dough over the filling to form a crescent. Place it on the prepared sheet tray.
- Repeat with the remaining filling and dough, placing them not touching on the sheet trays.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes until lightly golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving with ranch for dipping, optional.
WHAT KIND OF BACON WORKS BEST?
We like to use regular-cut bacon with this recipe, it is just our personal preference. But you can use any cut and any of your favorite bacon, and it will work fine.
CAN I USE ANOTHER CHEESE?
The sharp cheddar in this really makes the cheese flavor shine through, but if you want to use another cheese, you can. Some of our other favorites include:
- White Cheddar
- Smoked Gouda
- Monterey Jack
- Colby Jack
- Pepper Jack
- Chipotle Gouda
HOW CAN I MAKE THESE SPICIER?
If you are a lover of spice and want to add more to these, some thing that you could do is leave the seeds in the jalapeños instead of discarding them.
Otherwise, you can add in some hot sauce, habanero, Serrano, or Thai Chile peppers to the mixture as well.
HOW TO STORE:
These can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they will keep for up to 5 days.
They can also be frozen, placed in a freezer bag or container, and they will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To defrost, remove from the freezer into the refrigerator overnight until thawed. To reheat, place them back in the oven (covered) until they are heated through.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You can use any of your favorite dipping sauces.
- These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
- Switch up your cheese choices, we give some other ideas above.
- Make sure you do not overfill the crescent rolls, or it will come out of the sides.
- These can be made spicier, see above on how to do that.
- You can easily double or triple this recipe.
