FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
WHAT KIND OF BAGELS DO I USE?
I like using mini everything bagels for that classic bagel seasoning flavor.
But any mini bagels you find at the store work great—plain, onion, even cinnamon raisin if you’re feeling daring!
Just slice them in half with a serrated knife to make the process easier.
CAN I USE DIFFERENT FILLINGS?
Absolutely.
You can swap out sausage patties for crispy bacon, breakfast sausage links, or even turkey sausage if you want a lighter option.
Feel free to get creative with the cheese, too—colby jack cheese, mozzarella, or even pepper jack for a spicy kick.

ANY ADDITIONS?
Go crazy! These sliders are the perfect way to find your favorite flavors.
- Add a drizzle of maple syrup over the scrambled eggs for a sweet and savory combo.
- Use ham egg combos by slicing leftover holiday ham instead of sausage.
- Top with a little dijon mustard for a tangy edge.
- Sprinkle extra black pepper or garlic powder on top for stronger flavor.
- Slide in some fresh spinach or tomatoes for a veggie boost.
- Spread cream cheese under your melted butter topping if you love that extra creaminess.
- Add a slice of leftover turkey or roast beef for a hearty twist on your savory breakfast sliders.
- Use poppy seeds or extra bagel seasoning if you want to up the crunch factor.
- Brush on a little pancake syrup for a sweet note if you’re a fan of sweet-and-salty.
- Melt a thin slice of Swiss cheese alongside the cheddar for a two-cheese extravaganza.
ANY SUBSTITUTIONS?
Heck, try them on some sweet Hawaiian rolls. Make them as you will.
- Replace cheddar cheese with colby jack cheese or Swiss for a different flavor.
- If you don’t have mini bagels, you can try slider buns or hawaiian sliders—just watch them so they don’t burn.
- Use chicken sausage instead of pork sausage if you prefer a leaner protein.
- Swap scrambled eggs for sheet pan eggs if you want a super-fast approach: bake the eggs flat, then cut them into squares.
- Try melted butter with finely minced garlic if you’re out of garlic salt.
- Go for half egg whites if you’re cutting back on yolks—just note the taste might be less rich.

HOW TO STORE:
Refrigerator
If you have any leftover sliders, place them in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
When you’re ready to eat them again, just pop them in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for about 10-15 minutes or until they’re heated through.
Freezer
To freeze, wrap each slider in plastic wrap or put them all in a freezer bag with as little air as possible.
They can last up to 2 months.
Thaw them overnight in the fridge, then warm them in the oven for a quick breakfast.
The cheese might not be as melty as the first time, but it still tastes great!
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Keep It Warm: If you’re serving these to a crowd, place them on a baking sheet and keep them in a low oven until everyone’s ready to eat.
- Don’t Overcook the Eggs: Scramble your eggs on medium-low heat to keep them fluffy. Overcooked eggs can turn rubbery, and nobody wants that in a delicious breakfast sliders recipe!
- Butter Mix Up: Feel free to add a pinch of herbs to your melted butter—like oregano or basil—for a more herby taste on top of the rolls.
- Use the Right Pan: A casserole dish helps contain the sliders so the cheese doesn’t ooze off onto your oven floor.
- Slice the Bagels Evenly: A serrated knife works best, especially for a crisp bagel exterior. It keeps the edges from crumbling.
- Check the Bottoms: The tops of the rolls might look golden brown, but make sure the bottom half is heated and slightly crisp too.

These Breakfast Sliders are an easy recipe that brings a little fun to your morning routine.
Enjoy every bite of that cheesy, bagel-y goodness!
