Who doesn’t love a good chicken wing?! Well, okay if you’re a vegetarian you don’t count, sorry. But here I will show you have to make freakin’ AWESOME baked yes, BAKED chicken wings! These are fall off the bone good eatin’!

Baked BBQ Wings ThisSillyGirlsLife.com

First you will need one of those large packets of chicken wings. I actually get my wings from the whole chickens I buy each week. I only buy whole chickens, cut them up myself. From the chickens I save the wings in a separate bag and keep them frozen. After I get a whole gallon sized bags of wings saved up we have Wing Night! So, here is what you’ll need:

BBQ Baked Wings Seasoning ThisSillyGirlsLife.com

1 ea               large package of chicken wings, or a gallon sized bag full 😉

1 Tbls            Paprika

1 Tbls            Cumin

2 tsp              Garlic Powder

2 tsp              Onion Powder

Season salt and pepper to taste

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Cut up wings into the flat and the drumstick sections. Discard the pointy part of the wing (save this for homemade stock!). Place chicken in large bowl.

Sprinkle the seasonings over wings and toss to combine. Don’t over do the salt, the BBQ sauce later will help with that. After the seasoning is evenly over the wings place them on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Cook the wings uncovered in the oven for 30 minutes. Turn the wings with a tongs and return to oven for another 30 minutes. If the wing produce a lot of oil, drain the oil off in the sink, normally I don’t have to do this though, the natural fat will help the wings to not stick. Coat wings with your favorite BBQ sauce and place back in oven for 30 more minutes. Turn wings with a tongs and coat this side with sauce, place in oven for a last round of 30 minutes. After this they will be super tender and additively sticky with all the caramelized BBQ sauce all over them, whew these are awesome! Did I already say that?!

I served these bad babies with my Southern Style Collared Greens and some Spanish rice. YUM! Please make these for yourself, you’ll be thanking me very soon!
