FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:

It’s like caramel’s cooler cousin! Dulce de leche is a sweet, sticky sauce made from cooking milk and sugar until it’s thick and golden.

As you can probably tell from the Spanish name, it’s popular in most of Latin America.

Places like Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile have it on practically every street corner.

You can find it canned at the store or make your own—it’s the magic that makes this milkshake recipe so tasty!

Oh, yeah! Swap vanilla ice cream for dulce de leche ice cream if you want double caramel power.

Experiment with different flavors to your heart’s content.

Chocolate or even coffee ice cream works too—just pick your fave and blend away!
