- Versatile: You can easily customize this recipe with different pudding flavors or mix-ins to suit your taste.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED (SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR THE FULL RECIPE CARD):
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Cold water
- Vanilla instant pudding mix
- Vanilla extract
- Heavy whipping cream
- Mini vanilla wafers
- Mini marshmallows
- Barely ripe bananas

HOW TO MAKE FLUFF SALAD:
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and the water to the body of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment or into a large bowl with an electric hand mixer, and mix until combined.
- Add the vanilla pudding mix and the vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined; the mixture will be runny.
- Pour into a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate for 2 hours or until fully set.
- Whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks in the bowl of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment or in a large bowl with an electric hand mixer; be careful not to over-mix.
- Add spoonfuls of the pudding mixture to the cream with the mixer on low until fully incorporated with no steaks. I like to take a spatula and scrape the bottom of the bowl to make sure it is fully mixed in.
- Add the mixture to a large bowl.
- Stir in the wafers, marshmallows, and sliced bananas, and serve immediately.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
CAN I USE A DIFFERENT FLAVOR PUDDING?
Yes, you can use different pudding flavors like banana, cheesecake, white chocolate, or French vanilla to switch things up.
Vanilla is a family favorite at my house, but nothing says you have to do it exactly the same as we do!
CAN I USE COOL WHIP?
Yes, you can use 16 ounces of Cool Whip instead of whipping the cream, but it will make the pudding sweeter since Cool Whip has sugar.
Then again, maybe an extra sweet treat is exactly what you want.

ANY ADDITIONS?
It’s a fruit fluff. Of course, you can add other fresh fruit and things!
Heck, add some pasta pearls and make frog eye salad. There are so many options.
- Fresh Strawberries: Add sliced fresh strawberries for extra fruity flavor.
- Crushed Pineapple: Mix in some crushed pineapple for a tropical twist.
- Chopped Nuts: Sprinkle in chopped pecans or walnuts for a bit of crunch.
- Chocolate Chips: Add mini chocolate chips for a chocolatey surprise.
- Coconut Flakes: Mix in some coconut flakes for a touch of the tropics.
- Fresh Blueberries: Add fresh blueberries for a burst of color and flavor.
- Caramel Drizzle: Drizzle caramel sauce over the top for extra sweetness.
- Graham Crackers: Crush graham crackers and mix them in for a different kind of crunch.
- Cinnamon: Add a sprinkle of cinnamon for a warm, spicy flavor.
- Maraschino Cherries: Top with maraschino cherries for a classic touch.
ANY SUBSTITUTIONS?
You can use regular sized wafers if that’s all you can find.
No bake desserts like this are easy to swap out. For best results, do what you like!
- Sugar-Free Pudding Mix: Substitute regular pudding mix with sugar-free for a lower-calorie version.
- Gluten-Free Wafers: Use gluten-free vanilla wafers if you have a gluten intolerance.
- Dairy-Free Whipped Topping: Substitute the whipped cream with a dairy-free whipped topping for a lactose-free version.

HOW TO STORE:
Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Keep in mind that the cookies will absorb some of the pudding and the bananas may start to brown, but it will still be delicious.
Freezer: I do not recommend freezing this salad as the texture will change, and it won’t be as fluffy.
DANA’S TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Use Ripe Bananas: Make sure your bananas are barely ripe to avoid them getting mushy in the salad.
- Chill Time: Let the pudding mixture chill properly to ensure it sets well.
- Serve Immediately: This salad is best served right away or soon after making it to keep the cookies crunchy.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste the mixture before adding the whipped cream to adjust the sweetness if needed.
- Mix Gently: When folding in the whipped cream and other ingredients, do so gently to keep the mixture light and fluffy.
- Double the Recipe: This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings or parties.

This looks so nummy! How do the bananas hold up after day one? I will probably make and wait to fold in the vanilla wafers before serving😊
