BEST SYRUPS FOR COFFEE
The most popular and best syrups (in my opinion) for both hot and iced coffee drinks are Torani syrup, Monin syrup, and DaVinci syrups. They all have various delicious exciting flavors and offer the sweetness you desire for your morning brew.
TORANI SYRUP
This may be the most well-known of all coffee syrups. They are not only suitable for your cup of coffee but can be used in cocktails and other drinks. Starting in 1925, Torani made their hand-crafted syrups from recipes brought over from Lucca, Italy.
MONIN SYRUP
Monin is another iconic syrup brand that offers both sugar and sugar-free syrups. Popular for use with bartenders as well as baristas, this syrup was started in 1912 in Bourges, France. They are also very particular about using all-natural ingredients in their syrups and other products.
DAVINCI SYRUP
DaVinci syrups are part of the J.L. Hufford Coffee and Tea Company. These gourmet syrups impact a punch to whatever beverage recipe you want to kick up a notch. With only the highest quality ingredients used and backed by extensive research, DaVinci syrups are kosher-certified.
BEST SUGAR-FREE SYRUP FOR COFFEE
Even though most coffee syrup brands offer sugar-free syrups, a few stand out as the best. In my personal opinion, I think Jordan’s Skinny Syrups are at the top of the list. If you have a favorite sugar-free syrup, we would love to hear about it in the comments below.
JORDAN’S SKINNY SYRUPS
From “barista-style coffee creations to cocktails” Jordan’s Skinny syrups have something for everyone that wants to keep to a sugar-free diet. They were founded in 2009 and can be found at a variety of supermarkets or online at https://www.skinnymixes.com/ .
HOW TO ADD SYRUP TO COFFEE
A great way I have found to add syrup to coffee is to pour or pump it right into the mug or glass I am using. Then, I will add the coffee and other ingredients if using on top. This helps to stir up the coffee and mix everything together.
I still give a good stir with a spoon, then enjoy.

HOW MUCH SYRUP TO ADD TO COFFEE
A general rule of thumb for adding the right amount of syrup to coffee is 1 tablespoon of syrup per 8 ounces of coffee. This really is up to personal preference, though; sometimes I like to add 2 tablespoons of syrup if I have a sweet tooth that day.
What I tell everyone is to stick to 1 tablespoon, then taste. If your taste buds tell you to add less syrup, then you know to add less next time. If you think it’s not enough, add pumps of syrup until you get that perfect balance of flavor you like.
HOW MANY TABLESPOONS IN A PUMP OF COFFEE SYRUP
Pumps may vary, but generally speaking, there is about 1/2 tablespoon in a pump of syrup. So, if you are going by our ratio of 1 tablespoon syrup per 8 ounces of coffee, then start with 2 pumps of your favorite syrup and go from there.
HOW MUCH SUGAR-FREE SYRUP TO ADD TO COFFEE
Same as above, you can add sugar-free syrup the same way as regular sugar syrup. Starting with 8 ounces of coffee, add 1 tablespoon (2 pumps) of coffee syrup, taste, and adjust per your taste preference.
HOW TO ADD SYRUP TO ICED COFFEE
The beauty of coffee syrups with iced coffee is you can use them exactly the same way you would hot coffee. Since the syrup is already in liquid form, it will mix in without any issue into cold beverages as well.
So, again start with 1 tablespoon (2 pumps) of coffee syrup per 8 ounces of iced or cold brew coffee and serve over ice cubes.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF COFEE SYRUP
Wether you decide to make your own simple syrup or heavy syrup to use in your beverages or buy store-bought, both do have an expiration date.
HOMEMADE COFFEE SYRUP
Homemade coffee syrup, or simple syrup can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days in an airtight container. Stored in the fridge, it will last for up to 1 month. You know when homemade syrup has gone bad when it has a cloudy appearance.
STORE-BOUGHT COFFEE SYRUP
The best bet to tell if your store-bought coffee syrup has gone bad is to look at the expiration label on the product itself. Normally, these store-bought versions will last for a long time, but make sure to make note of when to stop using them.
WHERE TO BUY COFFEE SYRUP
Thankfully, you don’t have to go a long way to get your favorite coffee syrup flavors. Normally you can find them at your local grocer, coffee shops, or even online. Websites like Amazon or even directly from the manufacturers themselves will ship directly to you.
LOCAL GROCER
From big box grocery stores like Walmart and Target to your local Mom and Pop stores, you can pretty much find different coffee syrup flavors wherever you go. I have even seen them in discount stores like TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Ross.
In grocery stores, you will find them usually by the other cocktail mixes or sometimes in the coffee aisle itself.
LOCAL COFFEE SHOP
You might get lucky and find them in a local coffee shop near you. Or, you can even ask if they sell the different syrups in bulk. This way you can try before you buy and support a local business.
AMAZON
Of course, like everything else these days, you can find pretty much any flavor of coffee syrup you want directly on Amazon. Torani, Moni, DaVinci, and Jordan’s Skinny Syrups as mentioned above are all on amazon and ready to ship directly to you today!
