Hello beauties! I hope you guys are hungry because I am bringing you this super easy yet super delicious recipe for extra tender BBQ ribs! As you know grilling season is in full swing, what better way to enjoy your grill and the outdoors then a big old slab of these babies:
1 each Rack Ribs, I used baby back for this recipe and they’re my personal fav
2 Tbls Onion Powder
2 Tbls Garlic Powder
1 Tbls Season Salt
1 Tbls BBQ Rub, I used Bone Suckin’ Rub brand or paprika will do
18 oz Beer (1 1/2 bottles or cans)
2 each Bay Leaf
Fresh Cracked Pepper
Pre heat oven to 300 degrees. Take ribs out of packaging and rinse thoroughly. Place a piece of foil on a baking sheet to cover the entire sheet. Place ribs on foil and pat as much water off with clean paper towel as you can. Coat the ribs in the dried spices all over, except for the bay leaves. Rub the spices in with your hands and place ribs meat side up on the foil. Place the bay leaves in the foil.
Place another large sheet of foil over the ribs and crimp the sides so it is securely closed.
Place sheet with ribs in heated oven and pour 1/2 of a beer on the baking sheet. After an hour of cooking lower temperature to 250 degrees. After 2 more hours pour the remaining 1/2 beer on baking sheet. Let cook for another 1 1/2 hours and pour the extra 1/2 beer on the sheet. Cook for another 1 1/2 hours.
Get the grill ready and heated over high heat and coat grill grates in vegetable oil. You can do this by getting a clean towel and pouring some vegetable oil on it and with a tong just go over the grate quickly. There will be some smoke from the hot grates, this is normal. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce on the top side before placing on the grill.
Place the ribs on the grill BBQ side down. Brush the other side with sauce.
This process is very fast, all that we are achieving here is to get that nice grilled smokey flavor on the ribs and to caramelize the sauce. So, let the ribs stay on the first side for 3-5 minutes, lower the temperature to medium and close the lid while you wait. Then, flip the rack over and repeat. Take them off the grill and enjoy!!!
