DO I HAVE TO USE CINNAMON SWIRL BREAD?
No, you do not. We find that it gives a great extra cinnamon flavor to this recipe but if you do not like the bread or cannot find it you do not have to use it.
You can use any regular sandwich bread for this kind, white or wheat would be my other two suggestions for this. If you use any other kind, it might hinder the taste of this recipe.
CAN I USE MY OWN APPLE PIE FILLING?
Absolutely, if you like to make your own homemade the better! We use canned for this recipe for the ease but are not against using homemade at all.
You can also use cinnamon applesauce in a pinch. This might be runnier, but it will still work for this recipe.
HOW TO STORE:
I recommend storing any extra in an airtight container in the refrigerator where they will keep for up to 3-4 days.
These are definitely best when eaten right away! Plus that won’t be hard since they are so good!
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You do not have to use cinnamon swirl bread for this recipe, you can use regular white or wheat.
