FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:

CAN THIS BE MADE AHEAD OF TIME?

Yes! That is one thing I love about this cocktail recipe.

To make it ahead of time, mix the heavy cream, Rumchata, Fireball, and Kahlua in a large pitcher (do not add ice).

Store this in the refrigerator until ready to use (about 24 hours ahead of time) and then pour over ice and garnish with optional garnishes if wanted.

WHAT DOES THIS TASTE LIKE?

This tastes almost like a real cinnamon roll, it has a nice cinnamon flavor from the Fireball that is mellowed down by the smoothness of the RumChata and Kahlua.

It’s a nice creamy and mellow drink that has the punch of alcohol but goes down nice and smooth.

CAN OTHER TOPPINGS BE USED?

If you would want to add any additional toppings or switch it up, some of our favorites include: chocolate syrup, mini chocolate chips, caramel sauce, or even a mini cinnamon roll.

So many fall flavors would go well here.

  1. Maple syrup drizzle: Swap the whipped cream for a thin swirl of maple syrup on top, adding a sweet note that pairs perfectly with the warmth of cinnamon.
  2. Cinnamon sugar rim: Before pouring the drink, dip the top of the glass in a bit of simple syrup, then in a mix of cinnamon and sugar for a crunchy, sweet rim that’s sure to please cinnamon lovers.
  3. Splash of strong coffee: For those who like morning coffee (but with a twist), add a small shot of espresso to bring a “cinnamon white russian” vibe to your cocktail.
  4. Dash of egg whites: If you’re into classic cocktail with frothy tops (similar to a foam-topped classic cocktail), shake in half an egg white to get that extra layer of foam.
  5. Little bit of sugar or brown sugar: If you need an even sweeter result, stir in a spoonful—just watch your daily values if you’re minding sugar intake.
  6. Orange peel garnish: Add a quick twist of peel for a lovely twist of citrus aroma that brightens the end result.
  7. Pinch of ground cinnamon or cinnamon spice: If the Fireball wasn’t enough, dust a bit more at the finish for a total cinnamon bomb.
  8. Hot toddy style approach: Warm the ingredients in a pan over low heat (do not boil!) if you want a cozy winter version for those cozy nights.
  9. Vanilla extract: Just a drop or two for extra sweet notes in your cocktail—think of it as adding a swirl of vanilla bean to your “cinnamon roll.”
  10. Apple juice: If you like apple pie vibes, add a splash for a sweet, fruity tone that pairs nicely with the cinnamon flavor.

You get to choose what makes the perfect cocktail. This might be one of your new favorite drinks!

  1. Rye whiskey for Fireball: If you’d rather skip the cinnamon whiskey, try a bit of rye plus a dash of aromatic bitters and extra cinnamon—like a “cinnamon bourbon fizz” twist.
  2. Cinnamon tequila sour approach: If you don’t have Fireball, mix in tequila, a shake of cinnamon, and maybe a bit of lime juice for a tangy, spicy blend.
  3. Coconut milk or almond milk for heavy cream: Perfect if you’re going dairy-free. You might lose some creaminess, but the “time of year” coziness remains.
  4. Chocolate liqueur instead of Kahlua: If you’re not into coffee liqueur, try a chocolate-based liqueur for a “mocha-cinnamon” vibe.
  5. Rum or gold rum if you’d rather skip Fireball or whiskey altogether. It might become a sweet, tropical spin on the drink.
  6. Non-alcoholic spirit for the Fireball or Kahlua if you’re looking to make a “mocktail” version—just keep the flavors of fall with cinnamon syrup or extract.

Cinnamon Cocktails are best consumed when it is first made, you can, however, mix all the liquid ingredients together in a pitcher without ice 24 hours ahead of time and place it in the refrigerator.
