FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
IS AIR FRYER TURKEY BACON HEALTHY?
Yes, it is healthier than other cooking methods.
There is already not much fat in turkey bacon, but any excess grease will drip off into the basket below.
So, this makes it a leaner option to normal bacon.
WHAT KIND OF TURKEY BACON SHOULD I USE?
You can use any turkey bacon you like with this same method.
We prefer the uncured kind because it tends to be leaner with more protein than fat. It also normally has sodium nitrates as well.
WILL THIS METHOD WORK WITH REGULAR BACON?
Yes, air fryer bacon will cook for around the same amount of time, but cooking time may vary. Make sure to flip halfway through!
Traditional bacon has a lot more fat than turkey bacon, so you may want to place it on a paper towel after cooking to absorb any excess grease.
HOW TO REHEAT TURKEY BACON
You can reheat crispy turkey bacon for a minute until warm in the air fryer or less time in the microwave.
Note if you reheat in the microwave it may become soggy.
