WHAT IS THE TASTE AND TEXTURE OF THESE?
These Lemon Brownies, also known as Lemonies are super fluffy, buttery, and moist. They’re packed with a big bold lemon flavor so if you love brownies and lemon, this option is more than amazing!
CAN I ADD ANYTHING TO THESE?
Absolutely! One thing that we regularly add to this recipe is white chocolate chips! It really gives it a nice white chocolate flavor and a nice texture contrast.
You can also add some fresh or dried blueberries to these as well to give them the amazing lemon blueberry flavor.
DO I HAVE TO USE THE GLAZE?
The glaze really sets these Lemon Brownies off, and I highly recommend it. If you are wanting a less sweet option you can add some powdered sugar in its place.
HOW TO STORE:
These can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they will keep for up to 5 days.
They can also be frozen, preferably without the glaze. Place cut brownies in a freezer bag or container, you can also wrap them individually, and they will keep for up to 3 months.
To defrost, remove to refrigerator or countertop overnight until thawed, glaze and then enjoy!
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Fresh lemon juice is best in this, bottled can be used in a pinch but will not taste like real lemon.
- Lemon zest is great in this recipe as it will give it a little more lemon punch.
- You can use powdered sugar instead of the glaze.
- These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
- Other ingredients can be added, see above for some suggestions.
