Place the hot dogs in a single layer in the basket. I can fit 8 in mine, but just cook as many as you need, or you may need to do this in batches depending on how many hot dogs you need to cook.
8 Hot dogs
Cook for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Take the hot dogs out of the air fryer and set aside.
Take 3 hot dog buns and add a hot dog to each.
8 Hot dog buns
Place it back in the air fryer and cook for 1-2 minutes until the bread is slightly toasted. Repeat with the other hot dogs and buns, serve immediately.
Notes
Don’t crowd the air fryer basket—cook in a single layer for the crispiest results.
Flip the hot dogs halfway through the cook time for even cooking.
Use a sharp knife to make a few small cuts in the inside hot dog—this helps them cook more evenly and look cool!
Want extra texture? Brush the buns with melted butter before toasting.
Don’t forget the sides—serve with potato salad, chips, or even air fryer potato wedges for a complete meal.
Let kids pick their own hot dog toppings—it makes dinner fun and customizable.
