Accessibility Statement
This Silly Girl’s Kitchen is committed to making our website usable by all people, including those with disabilities. We want everyone who visits our site to be able to find, read, and print our recipes with ease.
Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user friendly for everyone. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review the site regularly as we publish and update recipes.
Measures We Take
- We write descriptive alternative text for the images in our recipe posts so screen readers can describe them.
- We use a clear, sequential heading structure on every page.
- We aim for readable font sizes and sufficient color contrast throughout the site.
- Our recipes include step by step written instructions with numbered photos, and every recipe card can be printed in a simple, readable format.
- The site can be navigated with a keyboard, and we avoid content that flashes or moves unexpectedly.
Known Limitations
Some of our older posts were published before our current accessibility standards were in place, and portions of the site (such as advertisements and embedded third party content) are provided by outside services we do not fully control. We are actively updating older content, and we will address any issue brought to our attention as quickly as we can.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of This Silly Girl’s Kitchen. If you experience any difficulty accessing part of this website, or have suggestions on how we can improve, please contact us through our contact page and include the web address of the page along with a description of the problem. We take this feedback seriously and will do our best to respond promptly and make the content accessible to you.
