An easy Oreo better than sex cake: rich devil's food poke cake soaked with sweetened condensed milk and chocolate, topped with fluffy chocolate pudding and crushed Oreos.
Mix and prepare the cake per the directions on the back of the box.
1 box devil's food cake mix plus ingredients needed to make it
While the cake is baking, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup until smooth.
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk, 3/4 cup chocolate syrup
Once the cake is done baking, start poking holes in it with a fork all over while still warm.
Drizzle the condensed milk mixture all over the cake, I like to take a spatula to move the filling around so it soaks into the holes of the cake and doesn’t all run off the sides.
Allow the cake to cool to room temperature.
Once the cake is cool, make the topping by whisking the whole milk and pudding mix until smooth.
Whisk in the whipped topping a little at a time until fully mixed in with no streaks, it may be a little lumpy, but that’s okay.
16 ounces whipped topping
Smooth the whipped topping mixture all over the cake; there is a lot, but use it all. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 6 hours to chill and set, even better overnight.
When ready to serve, top with the crushed Oreos. Serve slices with more chocolate sauce on top if desired.
20 crushed Oreos
Notes
Let the Cake Cool: Allow the cake to cool to room temperature before adding the whipped topping.
Evenly Poke Holes: Use a fork for evenly spaced holes.
Chill Before Serving: Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for the flavors to meld.
Add Toppings Last: Add your Oreo toppings just before serving for maximum crunch.
Experiment with Flavors: Don’t be afraid to try new combinations and toppings.
Use Quality Ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the final dish.
