1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

Make the sauce first by whisking together the mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, horseradish, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne until smooth.
1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup sour cream, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, 1 clove garlic minced, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika, pinch cayenne pepper
Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge until serving.

Notes

For the best part, let the sauce sit in the refrigerator in an airtight container overnight; it allows the flavors to meld.
Always start with less cayenne pepper and add more to taste to avoid making the sauce too spicy.
Using a whisk in a small bowl ensures a smooth, creamy sauce without lumps.
If you’re serving this with a bloomin’ onion, cut the onion a day ahead for the best results.
Double or triple the recipe for larger gatherings; it’s sure to be a hit with any fried food.
Experiment with additional spices like smoked paprika or garlic powder to take this blooming onion sauce to the next level.
