Place all ingredients in a blender.
7 ounce can of chipotles in adobo sauce, ½ of a red onion, ¼ cup lime juice, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, 2 ½ teaspoons garlic powder, 1 ½ teaspoons dried oregano, 1 ½ teaspoons dried cilantro, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper
Blend on high until smooth.
Marinade chicken pieces of choice for up to 24 hours before cooking.
