Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

I grew up loving two things more than Saturday morning cartoons: gooey cheeseburgers and piles of crispy tater tots.So, naturally, I eventually found the Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole!

Ingredients

1/2 small sweet onion small diced
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon light brown sugar packed
1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
10.5 ounce can condensed cheddar soup
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
32 ounces frozen tater tots

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350*F and spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray, set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the ground beef with the onions until no pink is left and the onions are translucent, about 10 minutes.

Drain any excess grease.
Add the ketchup, Worcestershire, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.

Stir in the cheddar soup and take it off the heat.
10.5 ounce can condensed cheddar soup
Add the meat mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Sprinkle the cheese on top.
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Add the tater tots in a single layer.
32 ounces frozen tater tots
Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour until the tots are golden brown and bubbly along the edges. Serve immediately with extra toppings of your choice.
