Ingredients

1/2 cup salted butter melted
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar packed
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup fresh blueberries

Optional blueberry sauce to serve:

1 cup fresh blueberries
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9 baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until combined.

Add the flour and baking powder to the mixture. Mix well, scrape down the sides as needed.

Finally, add the fresh blueberries to the mixture and gently stir to distribute them evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with moist crumbs.
Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Once the blondies are completely cool, cut them into squares.
Optional blueberry sauce to serve: Add the fresh blueberries, water, and sugar to a small sauce pot. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly, breaking up the blueberries until a sauce forms, about 5 minutes. Serve with the blondies if desired.
