Sweet & Sour Cucumber Onion Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 each english cucumber
  • 1/2 each white onion
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1 Cup red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1 each garlic clove

Instructions

  • Place the water, vinegar and sugar in a sauce pan over medium heat.
  • Cook this until the sugar is completely dissolved. Place this on the side.
  • Slice the cucumber in thin rounds. Slice the onion in julienne, or thin strips.
  • Place this in the vinegar mixture along with a smashed clove of garlic.
  • Let sit over night before serving. That’s it! SUPER easy and is a great salad or side dish!
