In a saucepan, melt the butter. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of milk chocolate chips. Do not stir.
In a small mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Gradually add the sugar. Stir in the butter, chip mixture, and almond extract.
In another small bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Add to egg mixture until just combined.
Spread half of the batter into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown at the edges.
Gently spread the strawberry jam over the warm crust. Sprinkle the white chocolate chips evenly over the jam.
Stir the remaining milk chocolate chips into the remaining batter and drop by teaspoonfuls over the jam. Bake for 30-35 minutes longer or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Enjoy!
