Toasted to perfection, these Italian Subs are a quick and easy meal filled with meats and cheeses that you cannot resist. Perfect for any day of the week and will fill you up.
Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise, making sure to not cut all the way through. Place the rolls cut side open onto a baking sheet..
In a small bowl stir together the softened butter, parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Spread the garlic butter over the hoagie rolls evenly.
Place in the oven and bake for 5 minutes until lightly toasted.
Tear a piece of cheese in half and place it on the bottom half of the hoagie roll. Repeat with the remaining rolls.
Top the cheese with ham, salami, and pepperoni, evenly onto all of the sandwiches.
Next, add the sliced pepperoncini, then tear another piece of cheese in half and place it on top, again, repeat with all the sandwiches.
Close the sandwiches and place them into a 9x13 baking dish or similar. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are warmed through and toasted.
Notes
You can add other toppings to these such as tomatoes, lettuce, onions, peppers or a zesty giardiniera.
You can serve these alone as is or with potato salad, coleslaw, chips, or a side salad.
Other cheeses can be used, provolone is our first choice but you can use mozzarella or muenster as well.
