Ingredients
1 ½
cups
water
2
Tablespoons
granulated sugar
1
black tea bag
1
medium peach
peeled, sliced, core removed
1
sprig mint leaves
taken off the stem
Ice cubes
2
scoops vanilla ice cream
¼
cup
blueberries or fresh berries of your choice
Instructions
In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the tea bag and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and chill the tea until ready to assemble.
Take 2 tall glasses, and add the sliced peaches and mint leaves equally to each glass.
Using a muddler, muddle the peach and mint until it is crushed well and fragrant.
Fill each glass with ice cubes halfway through. Add cooled tea divided between each glass.
Top with 1 scoop of ice cream in each glass. Garnish with peach, mint leaves, and some fresh berrie. Serve immediately.
Notes
This makes 2 drinks but can easily be doubled to make more.
Make sure you peel your peaches, we don't want the skins in the tea.
You can use your favorite vanilla ice cream including vanilla bean, new york, etc.
Try a peach ice cream to make it even more peach flavored.
Other fruits do work for this recipe, see some of our suggestions above.
Top with your favorite berries.
