With just three simple ingredients, this Blueberry Syrup Recipe comes together in no time. A great addition to summer drinks, desserts, or used in place of maple syrup on breakfast items.
Place sugar and water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly, bring to a simmer.
Add the berries, lower the heat to medium-low, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer and discard the berries. Let cool completely to room temperature, and serve. Store in a mason jar in the fridge or similar airtight container.
Notes
This makes a small batch, but you can easily double it to feed more or halve the recipe as needed.
Use any berries in place of blueberries.
