In a bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a separate bowl cream together the butter and the sugar with a hand mixer. Add the egg and vanilla and combine well.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
Moisten the dough with a Tbls at a time of the milk until the mixture is just moist but not wet.
Now, add in a few drops at a time of the green food coloring and mix until you get the color green you’re looking for.
Now, put plastic wrap over the bowl and let sit in the fridge for an hour.
Pre heat oven to 375 degrees.
Take rounded tsps of the dough and roll it into balls, placing them about 1 1/2 inches apart on a ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten the tops of the dough balls and sprinkle as many as you want with sprinkles, leaving the ones you want to decorate with faces plain.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden brown along the edges.
Let cool on the sheet for two minutes then with a spatula transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. They are now ready to decorate, enjoy!

If you just want to make a batch of these sugar cookies do everything the same except for adding the food coloring, still the best sugar cookies you ever ate!
