Monterey Chicken Sliders

  • 2 Chicken Breasts boneless, skinless
  • 4 Slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 8 small dinner rolls sliced in half (I used a Hawaiian Bread)
  • 1/2 onion sliced in large rounds
  • Kraft Slow-Simmered Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese


  • Slice chicken breasts into 8 even pieces or as close as you can. Season on both sides with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  • Cook chicken over medium high heat on a preheated, clean and oiled grill. Cook onions on grill as well. When chicken is half way done, about 5 minutes, flip over and baste with Kraft Slow-Simmered Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce. Flipping onions as necessary.
  • When chicken is almost done cooking, flip again and baste the other side with sauce. Place buns cut side down onto grill to get a light toast, take off when toasted and set aside about 2 minutes.
  • When the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees, about 10-12 minutes, top with crumbled bacon and cheese. Take off the onions, close the grill and let the cheese melt, about 1 minute.
  • Assemble the sliders by taking a bottom bun, topping with onions and a piece of the Monterey Chicken. Top with more Kraft Slow-Simmered Sweet Honey Barbeque Sauce if desired, serve and enjoy!
