Now that a new year is approaching, we naturally start to think of New Year’s resolutions. I’m obviously thinking of doing the most common one: lose some weight! Yes, life as a food blogger is both a blessing and a curse my friends… who else is going to eat all of that deliciousness I make each week?! *le sigh* SO, I am determined to lose a few…. or 30… ahem…. and one way I am going to do it is by taking daily walks.
But see, the downfall of this to me personally is I get bored. I can listen to some music for a while but I just get tired and bored and I’m ready to get back home and on the computer and think up new recipes for you guys! OR grab a good book and snuggle up under the covers in bed. (DO NOT tell Jeremy this is what I’m doing while he is out slaving away each day… our little secret 😉 )
After cooking my next favorite thing to do is read. I’m a reading fool. I HAVE to read before bed each night. I just have to. SO I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to get some audible books to listen to on my daily walks?? Yes! I know if I get into a story I’ll want to keep knowing what happens next and that will keep me motivated to walk!
Lucky for me, Scribd has a free three month subscription trial going on right now until January 1st 2015. SO, you can go ahead and get you trial going now, listen to some books while holiday baking or getting ready for that party like I’ll be doing! Best part is, I’ll already be all set up for January 1st when I start my daily walks. I AM DOING IT, I promise!
The Scribd website is very cool and sleek. You can even listen to a sample audio book, the voice is extremely soothing and I can’t wait to hear more of “The Spy Who Loved Me” by Ian Fleming.
Scribd is the largest un-limited access subscription e-book and audible book service. They have more than 500,000 ebooks and 30,000 audible books, so yea you should be set for a while! LOL. They have new releases and even celebrity narrators like Aaron Cumming and MERYL STREEP.
You can also get them on almost any device, iPhone, iPad, Android phone and tablet, Kindle Fire and web browsers. Also, the subscription fee after your free trial is the lowest on the market at only $8.99/month! What an amazing present would a subscription be to give?!
Which book will you listen to first?!
