Appetizers are so fun, don’t you agree? But sometimes making them bite sized can get tedious. I’m going to show you how to get lots of flavor using few ingredients so you have more time to be with your guests and enjoy your own party! Imagine that. I love it when appetizers can just be picked up and popped into my mouth. These whipped goat cheese tomatoes bites are the perfect size for snacking and won’t leave your fingers sticky with sauce. Using a premade vinaigrette dressing, fresh basil and goat cheese really brings a nice burst of flavor to these one bite appetizers!

If you are having a get together soon or just a fun night in with lots of appetizers, don’t stress! Using KRAFT pourable dressings help to cut your prep time down and making these cute tomato bites ahead of time will save even more time. While gathering my ingredients at Walmart for this dish, I picked up KRAFT pourable dressings in both Zesty Italian and Ranch flavors. You can find them in the condiments aisle by all the salad dressings.

They are hard to miss, KRAFT makes lots of flavors of salad dressing but what I love about these flavors is you can use them for so much more than just salads or marinades. Using the Zesty Italian for my tomato bites gave lots of flavor without having to make my own vinaigrette.

The new KRAFT pourables have been reinvented with a new, better taste. The Classic Ranch has more buttermilk and savory herbs and  Zesty Italian now has even more herbs and spices, perfect for this quick appetizer!

I can’t wait to make a Buffalo Chicken Dip with the Classic Ranch, yum! I know you can’t wait to see the recipe for these flavorful tomatoes, here ya go:

Whipped Goat Cheese Tomato Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 pint grape or cherry tomatoes
  • 3 oz goat cheese
  • 1 Tbls KRAFT Zesty Italian dressing
  • 4 fresh basil leaves fine chop
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash tomatoes and let dry. With a pairing knife, carefully cut the top off at the stem end. On the bottom end, cut a very small piece off so the tomato can stand up and won't tip over. Using a pairing knife, carefully core the inside of the tomato, getting as much of the seeds out that you can but don't pierce all the way through the bottom. Core all tomatoes and set aside.
  • While coring tomatoes, take out goat cheese, place in bowl and let come to room temperature. Add remaining ingredients. With a hand mixer, whip on low for about a minute until cheese is smooth and mixed with ingredients. Place in piping bag with large whole tip or in a zip lock bag and cut a corner for easy stuffing.
  • Stuff cored tomatoes with goat cheese mixture. Serve and enjoy!

Ugh these are so good, I made then as an appetizer to cheeseburgers and baked potatoes last night, Jeremy really loved them! They are very easy too, perfect for summer. No cooking required! What is you favorite bite sized appetizer??

But how did you get them to stand up so perfectly? Lol.
My friend once did grape tomatoes with a bread crumb filling, they were delish. That was the first time I saw stuffed grape tomatoes. These look just as amazing, bookmarking~~

These look amazing! I love how you “repurposed” salad dressing-such a simple tip that I often forget. These are sophisticated enough for any occasion, but so easy. Thanks for sharing!
I have a link party going on today, and would be honored if you shared these (if you have time). tshirtjeans.blogspot.com

These look so cute and will be a perfect hor d’oeuvres for my next dinner party! I usually make caprese skewers with cherry tomatos and bocconcini mozzarella but I always love to use my piping skills so I’ll definitely have to give these a try!

These look fantastic! How can you go wrong with tomatoes and cheese? I can’t wait to try them.
Quick question: Is there a particular method you use to finely chop basil since it’s a tricky leaf to work with?

I just stack them about 6 or so at a time with the biggest on the bottom. Roll them length wise to form a little bundle then just slice it with the knife, you will now have long strings, simply chop that with the knife to the size you want. Easy! Thanks for coming by!
