Silk Almondmilk Taste Test for Lactose Intolerant Hubby

I know I have mentioned many times in the past that Jeremy is lactose intolerant. This is why I don’t post recipes with creamy sauces. I cannot tell you how bad I have wanted to share the MOST amazing fettuccine alfredo recipe but I can never make it. Whaaa! BUT we made a little progress over the weekend and I finally got him to taste Silk Almondmilk, score!

We have been married for three years (together for five) and I have never once been able to convince him of trying any type of soy or alternative milk. He is flat out scared that he will still have a reaction to it like regular milk. Believe me I have tried long and hard to convince him otherwise but there is just no budging him!

Recently he was talking about how he would give anything to be able to have a bowl of cereal in the morning like he used to when he was a kid. So I brought up the subject again. “Look, this stuff is LITERALLY made from almonds, there is no way you are getting sick from this. TRY IT ALREADY!”

And he was all “But what will it taste like?” *eye roll* just like the silly commercials, I took a big gulp… “It tastes like almonds.” Big shocker, right?? So he took a sip and thought it wasn’t too shabby! Round of applause, please!

So I imagine you can guess what happened next, right?

Needless to say he was super excited to have his first bowl of cereal in 15 years! We are going to be investing in a lot more of this Silk Almondmilk, he might even go crazy and try Silk soy milk next, woo hoo!

So, how are you going to get your picky eaters to try Silk Almondmilk?? You can have a taste testing party. I would have totally done this if Jeremy could drink regular milk. I honestly like the Silk Almondmilk Vanilla flavor the best. Adding a nice vanilla touch really makes it stand out and hello I already love almonds. It’s a natural flavor combo!
