Owl Snack Cakes, a super easy and fun Fall (or anytime!) dessert, using all store bought ingredients!
Welcome back everyone, I have another super fun fall dessert/snack to share today! I love owls all year round, I think they are just so cute and majestic! BUT, you start seeing a lot more owl decor and designs during fall. I thought now would be the perfect time to make a fun treat with them!

This is another one of those non-recipe recipes. You literally just need to pick up everything at the store and one of these little cuties will be ready in seconds… literally. I doubt it would take a whole minute to put one together, I didn’t time it or anything… but yeah.
Now, I know you have probably seen similar desserts floating around Pinterest already. I can’t take credit for the original idea, but I can’t credit that person either because this has been done so many times. Although, I have never seen it done like I made here, with snack cakes!
(Yes, I went a little nuts with the pictures, as per usual!) I used Cocoa Cremes for the base of these but I think a lot of different snack cakes will work as well, even moon pies!
Owl Snack Cakes
Owl Snack Cakes
Ingredients
- Cocoa Cremes
- Peanut Butter M&Ms the brown ones
- Oreos
- Candy Corn
- Chocolate Frosting
Instructions
- Unwrap you desired amount of snack cakes and set them on a sheet tray. Get your other ingredients ready so the process goes fast.
- Separate the Oreos VERY carefully and keep the cream sides (do what you will with the other side!). Make the owl beaks by slicing off the pointy end of the candy corns with a butter knife, I made sure to get a touch of the orange in there too, I just thought it looks cuter! Place frosting in a piping bag so it is easier to handle (or not, a good old butter knife works too.)
- Put two dabs of frosting on the upper middle of the snack cakes. Place Oreos on top of frosting and press down slightly so they stick. Place a tiny dab of frosting on the back of the M&Ms and place for a pupil. I think they look best places close together. Finally, finish with a teenie dab of frosting on the flat side of the candy corn beak, press into place.
- That's it! Serve and enjoy, and watch your guests minds be blown! 😉
