Hello This Silly Girl’s Life readers!! It is so great to be back here again with you. This is Shonee hopping over from Hawthorne and Main. Today I am going to share a quick organization board project with you.
It seems that I am running from one disaster in my home to another.  This year I have decided that I don’t want to live like that anymore.  I have vowed to get my life more organized!!! (I hope)

One of my big problems is notes.

I am a very visual person.  As a blogger, mom, wife, community worker, house maid….ect ect.  I have a lot running through my brain.

If I think of an idea for my blog or think of something I need to grab at the store, chances are it will be written down on a scratch piece of paper, a note.

I have a big stack of so called notes laying around my house.  There have been times when I tore my house apart looking for that oh so precious notes….that now I can’t even remember what was on them.

At the time it was VERY important.

If you are anything like I am.  A note taker or know some one who is.  This project is just for you! Let’s get started.
Supplies:

1×4 cut 28 inches long

3 clip board clips- I got mine at Joanns

vinyl

vinyl cutting machine

paint

1/2 inch wood screws

drill

3×5 cards- fit perfect on this board

I had a piece of reclaimed wood already on hand that I used for this project.  You can paint or stain your board to your liking.

I attached my clip board clips by spacing them out evenly across the board.  I pre-drilled all of my holes and secured the clips in place using my drill and 1/2 inch screws.

I used my silhouette cameo to cut out my vinyl.  You can use any cutting machine or even hole punches if you have those.  If you don’t have any of these you can free hand or use a stencil.

So many options!

If you have ever worked with stencils before then you know that sometimes the paint can leak under the stencil.

Here is one trick.

Press the vinyl down really good right before you add the paint.  Put on a little bit thicker coat of paint and as soon as you are done applying the paint, remove the vinyl.  Don’t let it sit and dry at all.

If you look at the picture below you can kind of see that the paint is a little bit thicker.

You should end up with a beautiful crisp line!

This little board would be perfect on a fridge.  Get some pretty strong magnets to glue to the back.

You could also put it in your command center or work station. Ideally this needs to go somewhere where you will see it often.

Here is to a more organized life!!

I, too, can have multiple lists/notes around the house. Then add that to my husbands…

This idea is so creative! Thanks.
