Modern Farmhouse Tablescape, a charming and inviting way to decorate for any party!
Easy and simple farmhouse tablescapes are the way I love to entertain! Thank you to Godiva for sponsoring this post, all opinions are 100% my own.
If you have followed me for any time now, you will know farmhouse everything is my jam. I love the rustic simplicity of the overall farmhouse decor “movement.”
I’d like to say I’m a touch more on the elegant than the rustic side of the farmhouse trend. But, I still love to keep it easy, warm, and comforting.
I designed this tablescape that is perfect for everything from everyday entertaining to even holiday decor! Feel free to use my tips here as a blueprint for your own perfect table setting!
What I love to do most importantly is always have something to nibble on out for my guests right away. I found these Godiva Masterpieces at my local grocery store and I knew they would be the perfect elegant touch to my table!
To me, Godiva in general just oozes luxury and elegance, it is always a special treat when I can indulge in some of my favorite Godiva chocolates! So, that’s why I was SO EXCITED when I found out you can now find Godiva Masterpieces signature chocolates at so many stores!
I’m in love with this new Godiva Masterpieces collection of individually wrapped chocolates and chocolate bars. They have three decadent flavors, Dark Chocolate Ganache Heart, Milk Chocolate Caramel Lion of Belgium, and (my personal favorite!) Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Oyster.
I was so excited that I could purchase them at retailers near me that I got a bunch and set them out for my guests. I put some wrapped and unwrapped chocolates in each place setting.
I also made sure to keep extras on hand because I knew these would go quickly! I scattered them in little bowls on various tables in the dining room.
Overall, I am in LOVE with these Godiva Masterpieces and how my modern farmhouse tablescape turned out!
Tips for the perfect Modern Farmhouse Tablescape:
- Use natural elements like wood, metal, natural fabrics, and as many fresh flowers and greenery as you can.
- Build height by using unexpected elements on top of your plates.
- Use mismatched cloth napkins in the same color scheme to give interest to the overall table.
- Keep something easily accessible to nibble on before the main course so your guests won’t even notice if dinner is 20 minutes late!
- Pick fresh flowers that are not overly scented, this can deter from your glorious cooking smells and can be a touch distracting. Keep it neutral, clean, and fresh.
I used hydrangeas in two colors that complimented my overall theme of white, cream, and blue. Fresh greenery to me goes with any color and is always needed.
Mixed in with my greenery stems are fresh eucalyptus branches. It gave just a soft and relaxing pleasant scent to the room.
I wanted the main focus of the table setting to be my centerpiece. I used greens I found that were a touch on the messy side, I think this gives a whimsical touch that looks freshly picked from the garden.
Everything is placed in varying bottles that are placed in this long wooden display box. Twinkle lights add another unexpected dimension!
I added pillows to the head of the table seats to just give a feeling of overall welcoming and comfort.
All the items used I either already had on hand or I was able to pick up at discount decor stores. This table was so easy to put together and I hope it gives you the inspiration to try it yourself!
Don’t forget to add some yummy Godiva Masterpieces in the mix, believe me, your guests will thank you later!!
