Mixing Soft and Hard Pieces for Casual Outfit

Hi every one! I know! It’s been a while since my last fashion/outfit post, so sorry! Luckily, I really stocked up with all these amazing holiday sales going on with new clothes, so hopefully I will be getting a lot more outfit posts up! If you remember my second to last fashion post, I mentioned liking a more edgy style recently and that certainly still is the case!

So, what do you think? I love playing with soft and hard pieces in the same outfit. For me, the polka dot leggings, flowy cardigan and pearl necklace really keeps this look from taking me too out of my comfort zone and still staying a little soft and feminine.

I am absolutely in love with each piece here. The jacket I found the other day on clearance, it is a sweatshirt material with faux leather sleeves. A perfect casual jacket to wear while running errands or just out and about. I think it makes the look come together and more polished but still fun at the same time.

The t-shirt was a Christmas gift from Jeremy! He did so good, he actually custom made it for me. He knows how obsessed I am with the Hunger Games and I had mentioned wanting a shirt for it but not one that was just plastered with the book/movie title. So, this is just the perfect touch!

Cardigan I got the same day as the jacket. Simple, thin material and super comfy. It is actually much warmer than it looks. I love the dark grey color as well, it goes great with black but it’s completely monotone.

Leggings. UGH, such an obsession of mine. These are very cute, the polka dots are actually little squares making it slightly different. I love patterned leggings but I tend to not go over the top with them. This is a great subtle pattern for me. I made sure to pair the cardigan or on other days, a longer top with these leggings since they are thinner material. For obvious reasons.

The boots were a black Friday find, Jeremy wrapped them up for me so I couldn’t wear them until after Christmas. EEEK! It was so hard not to have these handy but I’m so glad to have them now. They are super edgy to me and remind me of motorcycle boots. I love that they are flat, so they are super comfy as well!
