Six months ago, getting ready in the morning looked a lot different than it does now.
Having a new baby has taught me that it’s a little harder to get into a morning routine when you have kids!
However, I haven’t let that stop me from establishing a morning routine as a new mom. I wanted to share some tips that I have found helpful with how to establish a morning routine as a new mom.
Eat a Good Breakfast
With a newborn and being a first time Mom, I’m still trying to learn this new parent thing.
Some mornings I just can’t get my much-needed breakfast in. Recently, I discovered Jimmy Dean® products and have made my mornings smooth again!
I’m not the first mom that has enjoyed a yummy Jimmy Dean breakfast. In fact, Jimmy Dean® Brand has been supplying high-quality family-favorites for 50 years. That’s a lot of years of making sure people are eating good food.
I’ve noticed that Jimmy Dean® products are perfect for on the go, which I always seem to be on.
For example, Jimmy Dean® Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick is a fun breakfast to enjoy and it’s perfect for on the go.
There are 6 grams of protein per serving (check the packaging for full nutritional information). It’s also great for breakfast or for a snack.
One of my other favorite Jimmy Dean® breakfast options is the Jimmy Dean® Sausage, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwiches. This is another breakfast option that’s ideal for this on the go mom. I love that it has 13 grams of protein per serving and it’s complete with savory sausage, fluffy eggs & melty cheese. Be sure to check the packaging for full nutritional information.
As you can see, Jimmy Dean® products offer a great selection of ready-to-eat frozen breakfast favorites.
A good breakfast every. single. morning. is extremely important, but here are a few more tips I’ve found!
Allow for More Time
Back in the day, I could just wake up and go. Now that I have a little one to also get ready, I need more time.
One of the best things I’ve added to my routine is more time. As much as I’d like to get more rest, allowing for more time in my morning routine is super important.
It helps me to not feel rushed and I forget fewer things.
How to get more time you ask?
Get Things Ready the Night Before
I’ve noticed that mornings seem to be more hectic than nighttime.
When I get things ready the night before, I’m much more successful in the mornings. I will lay out my clothes and the baby’s clothes.
I’ve also found success with packing things up the night before too. Whatever I don’t get done the night before, I can do in the morning, but it makes my mornings a lot less hectic.
Try to Wake Up Before the Baby
Another important part of establishing a morning routine as a new mom is waking up before the baby.
For the first few months, it was hard because little sleep was involved. Now that the baby is sleeping more, I feel as though we can get into a better routine.
I’m trying really hard to not use my baby as an alarm clock and get up a little earlier when I can!
Again, I cannot stress to you how much getting that first meal of the day really helps.
Bonus points for us, Jimmy Dean breakfast products can be found right in the freezer section at our local Walmart store!
