Like many busy families, sometimes getting dinner on the table fast is essential. You have a recital to get to, housework to get done or you just want a night off from cooking. I’m the exact same way. Even though we don’t have any children yet, sometimes I just want to relax some nights and not make a huge meal. So, one way to have a “night off” for me is to have an easy dinner; taco night!
One of our favorite ways to have tacos is with chicken so when I saw these new Tyson gourmet chicken nuggets I knew I just had to give this a try and it came out amazing!
This is so fast and easy, it’s kind of crazy! You will have these amazing tacos ready in under 15 minutes! All you have to do is first, place your Tyson spicy and cheesy chicken nuggets into the oven at 400 degrees. If you’re in even more of a time crunch just pop them in the microwave with the directions on the back of the packages!
These two new flavors of Tyson chicken nuggets are a step above any others I have ever tried. The spicy ones really do have a great kick but it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t mask the great seasoning they have on them. The cheesy ones are perfect for everyone, these were Jeremy’s favorite kind!
So, when the chicken nuggets are heating up just go ahead and get all of your toppings ready. I sliced up some lettuce, grape tomatoes, scallions and cilantro. I placed all of these items onto a platter with shredded cheese. This is what I call my “taco station” it’s super easy to get all these ingredients together and ready to go. So, now you don’t have to worry about fixing everyone’s tacos, you get to build your own! I think that’s a great time saver for any mom!
I also place my green sour cream taco sauce along with all the toppings as a little extra something!
Next, when the Tyson spicy and cheesy chicken nuggets are done cooking and have slightly cooled, I sliced them so it would be easier to place in the tortillas. You can use two to three nuggets per taco… who am I kidding? I used three nuggets each taco!
You can practically see how these nuggets are bursting with flavor! Now, all you need to do is let your friends and family go to town building their own tacos at the taco station. And, you get to sit back and relax and indulge yourself! No fuss.
Here’s how my tacos came out:
Oh yeah, I really loaded them down! LOL. Two were plenty for me but when you buy these specially marked packages of Tyson spicy and cheesy nuggets, you get so many you get go back for seconds or thirds if you wanted!
Here’s a little secret:
I found my packages of gourmet nuggets on the end of the frozen foods section at the WalMart I shop at every week. I’ve also seen them in the open freezers in the middle of the aisle by the cooked meats.
If you stop in at your local WalMart on the weekend of 11/15/2013 there will be a demo going on for the Tyson Cheesy Chicken Nuggets. You’ll be able to taste the goodness for yourself!
So, what do you think? Have you been inspired to have your own chicken nugget taco night?
